Fire testing instruments

Flammability chamber according DIN 75200 and FMVSS 302

Horizontal flammability chamber for the determination of comparative burn rates of cloth, including pile and napped cloth. It is used worldwide to qualify the burn resistance of automotive interior materials according to Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). The combustion chamber is made of high-grade steel material with heatresistant pane of glass for the examination of the rate of combustion according to DIN 75200, FMVSS 302 and others.

Testing facility consisting of:

  • Chamber (stainless steel)
  • Sample mounting plate A
  • Sample mounting plate B (with wires)
  • Fine flow control valve with gas hose
  • Scavenge cup
  • Burner
  • Ignition flame safety device

Flammability chamber according DIN 4102 B2 and DIN 53438

The flammability chamber is designed for the flammability testing of plastic materials used in electric devices or other appliances. The chamber is made of stainless steel including and large heat-resistant window for the examination of the rate of combustion according to DIN 4102 B2, DIN 53438 and others. The chamber includes an adjustable specimen support as well as a high precision gas burner.

Testing facility consisting of:

  • Chamber (stainless steel)
  • Basic mechanism
  • Sample mounting plate
  • Template
  • Auxiliary handle (for lateral. flaming)
  • Needle valve


Optionally:

  • Wire basket for filter paper (surface area 100 x 60 mm)
  • Setting template for flame height (20 or 40 mm)
  • B2-Adjusting tip (5 mm)
  • B2-Adjusting tip (16 mm)

The following testing facilities can be combined with the above chamber:

  • Testing facility according to DIN 54332 "determination of the combustion behaviour of textile floor coverings"
  • Testing facility according to DIN 54335 "determination of the combustion behaviour of textiles according to the 45° method"
  • Testing facility according to DIN 54336 "determination of the combustion behaviour of textiles by edge-flaming"
  • Testing facility according to DIN 53906 "determination of the combustion behaviour of textiles with perpendicularly arranged samples"

Burning chamber according UL 94

Flammability chamber made of high-grade stainles steel material with heat-resistant glass door for the examination of the rate of combustion to UL 94, ASTM D635, D3801, D4804, D5048, D4986, IEC 60695-11-10 (replaces ISO 1210), IEC 60695-11-20 (replaces ISO 10351), IEC 707 (partial); ISO 9772 and ISO 9773.
