Melt Index Tester Model MeltFloW basic

The manual equipment is designed for the determination of the MFR value in g/10 min. This equipment works in accordance with the following standards:

• ASTM D 1238 method A
• ISO 1133, method A
• and something similar.

With microprocessor controlled PID temperature regulator for fast and exact starting of the desired inspection temperatures.

Optionally available:

• Manual extrudate cutting device
• Motorized weight lifting device
• Nozzle plugging device (for low viscose materials)
• Tests with weights up to 21.6 kg

The compact and microprocessor controlled Melt Index Tester is designed to determine MFR values in g/10 min., MVR values in ccm/10 min as well as the melt density in g/ccm.

This equipment is suitable for determinations in accordance with following standards:

• ASTM D 1238, method A and B
• ISO 1133
• and others

Genuine modular testing instrument with microprocessor unit for the computation of

• up to 50 MFR or MVR individual values per attempt
• Average value, standard deviation
• Shear stress, Shear rate and Viscosity

PC support

The programming, controlling, evaluation and documentation of the measured values are made by an attached PC by means of the comfortable and operator-friendly WINDOWS software k-BASE. Further software modules for the process control, the data export, assignment of access authorizations and for the simultaneous control of several instruments by one PC (multi-equipment control) are included.

Melt Index Tester Type PETFloW

The Melt Index Tester series PETFloW are highly precise melt index testing instruments for the measurement of the MFR (melt fl ow rate) in g/10 min., the MVR (melt volume rate) in ccm/10 min. according to EN ISO 1133 method
A/B, ASTM D 1238 method A/B, as well as for the determination of the IV (Intrinsic value) in dl/gr. used mainly in quality control and research labs.
